✓ Validity & Activation Policy
Check the specific activation policy: Some eSIMs activate upon installation, while others activate only when connecting to the destination network.
You MUST have stable Wi-Fi or data to install. Recommended: Install at the airport before departure or via airport Wi-Fi upon arrival.
Once installed, DO NOT delete the profile even if it shows 'No Service'. eSIMs can only be installed ONCE. Deleted eSIMs cannot be recovered.
Print the QR code or display it on another device (laptop, tablet, or friend's phone) to scan it with your phone's camera.
- Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data)
- Tap "Add eSIM"
- Tap "Use QR Code"
- Scan the QR code from your email
- Tap Continue and complete setup
- Label your plan (e.g., "K-Medical eSIM")
- Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM > Use QR Code
- Tap "Enter Details Manually" at the bottom
- Enter SM-DP+ Address & Activation Code
- Settings > Connections > SIM manager
- Tap "Add eSIM" (or + icon)
- Select "Scan QR code from service provider"
- Scan the QR from your email and tap "Add"
- SIM manager > Add eSIM > Scan QR code
- Tap "Enter activation code" at the bottom
- Paste the activation code string provided
iOS (iPhone)
- • Settings > Cellular
- • Selected new eSIM > Turn On This Line
- • Turn on "Data Roaming" (CRUCIAL)
- • Set "Cellular Data" to the new eSIM
Android
- • Settings > Connections > SIM manager
- • Toggle switch ON for the new eSIM
- • Preferred SIMs > Mobile data: Select new eSIM
- • Connections > Mobile networks > Data roaming: ON
